From a very young age I have been interested in people and their different views on the world. As a psychologist with an education in marketing I have put this passion into the center of my professional career.
On an equal basis, I have a profound interest in the business world and the efforts of organizations to succeed in the market place. Having worked in a advertising agency as a concepter and copy writer I am deeply fascinated by the impact of design, strategy and branding.
In addition, thanks to my experience in user centered design as a freelancer as well as a lead user experience designer in an international agile IT company I discovered my interest for services and products – digital as well as analog.
Connecting these two worlds - business and people – by discovering people's motivations and needs and "translating" them into the business world I aim to support companies to succeed in the market. And at the same time, by creating this bridge make people's lives easier and more enjoyable.
I use various methods, such as ethnographic fieldwork, in-depth interviews, diary studies, rapid prototype sessions and co-creation workshops depending on what will bring the most valuable outcome for my clients. Often I combine different approaches and apply them in a creative way.
For some projects I plan and conduct the research as well as synthesize the data to deliver valuable insights for my clients that help them with their business and design decisions. For others I am part of an international team doing research in Germany.
I have worked for a full range of industries, such as the healthcare, financial, fashion, hotel, tourism, education, publishing and energy sector. Furthermore, I worked for the German government and did various projects for the software and e-commerce industry.
